The credential for executives who answer for AI decisions.

AIRE Chartered Executive (ACE) is the foundation credential for executives accountable for AI decisions. Nine modules build the governance, risk, and decision frames boards expect you to own. Then a live boardroom simulation tests whether you can hold them under pressure — scoring your judgment, not your recall. You leave knowing what to do before the moment arrives.

When AI fails, accountability reaches you

The EU AI Act — and the regulation following it — doesn't hold algorithms accountable. It holds organizations accountable. Responsibility reaches the executive who approved the deployment, accepted the risk, and assured the board governance was in place. That's a judgment role, not a technical one — and most senior leaders have never practiced it under real pressure. ACE is where they do.

What's included?

  • 9 executive modules
  • 24 decision simulations
  • 6 required certification simulations
  • Supporting videos and governance resources

Face the Board

You get 24 boardroom scenarios across 12 companies. To certify, you must successfully complete six — making the real calls on strategy, governance, risk, and regulation, then defending each decision under questioning from leadership and the board. This is where judgment is tested, not recalled.

Earn the Credential

ACE isn't awarded for finishing. It's awarded when your judgment holds across all six required simulations, scored against the standard boards expect. You leave having already made the hard calls under pressure — and with the credential that proves it.

Ramon J Matos

Ramon J. Matos, CISSP, has spent three decades architecting enterprise technology and security for regulated organizations across healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, and financial services. An ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer in AI management systems, he is the founder of AIRE Council and Quantelis and the author of the forthcoming The Unclassified Exposure, a work on AI capital exposure and enterprise governance.

Ramon built this program to give executives and technology leaders a practical command of AI governance, risk, and capital exposure — the judgment to ask the right questions before an AI investment is approved, not after. Drawing on real enterprise transformations and years mentoring directors and senior leaders, he teaches through the decisions leaders actually face. He looks forward to helping you build the confidence to govern AI well.

Do I need a technical background?

No. ACE is about judgment, governance, and accountability — the executive's job, not the engineer's.

How much time does it take?

It's self-paced. Most of your time is spent making decisions in simulations, not watching lectures.

What if I don't certify on the first attempt?

You retake the required simulations. The standard doesn't move; you continue until your judgment holds across all six.

Prove your judgment holds — before it's tested for real.
